Question:

I'm trying to get pregnant?

my husband and I are trying to have a baby.

You see, I started my period the 21st of july and fully ended the 27th. I had unprotected s*x on the 28th because I heard it's best to get pregnant right after you end your period. Is this true? If not, when is the best time to?

  1. you need to ask your doctor and you can try now if you want to so to be safe ask your doctor first

  2. The best time would be right in the middle of your cycle. If you have a normal 28 day cycle, then you would be ovulating 14 days after the first day of your period. Here is a website that will help you with tracking your most fertile times of the month. Remember you ovulate half way through your cycle.

  3. It is different for every woman but here's how mine went just to give you an idea of the days. My period started on 2/17/08 and it lasts for about 7 days. Me and my husband tried on 3/1 and on 3/5 the only 2 days we did anything. I found out I was pregnant on 3/17/08! So for me it was about 1 week after my period ended. I hope this gives you an idea but like I said everyone is different. But I wish you and your husband the best and lots of baby dust to you!

  4. usually the best time is 14 days after the first day of your cycle.

a lot of times you will know its time because you will have lower back pain, clear stretchy discharge amongst other things

  5. You can get pregnant any time, I've heard, but the best time is about 13 days before your next period. I believe that's right, it's either 13 days before your next, or 13 days after your last.  Anyway, try to find out when you're ovulating.  There are kits you can buy, or you can chart your temperature.  Once you find the date you start ovulating, the next month, you need to have s*x all three days before you start ovulating, the day you start, and the day after....I will absolutely swear by this!!! My husband and i tried for over a year and finally, I read an article online providing me with this advice, and the very first time we attempted (two weeks later) we conceived our soon to be daughter!!!  I also gave my cousin this advice, and sure enough, two months after finding out about our little one, she found out she was pregnant too!  I wish ya the best of luck!!

  6. if u have ur period on a regular basis, you should ovulate any day between the 10th and 14th days.

good luck and baby dust to you!

  7. It's crazy...here you are, trying your hardest to get pregnant..and then on Yahoo answers, you see 13 year olds posting dumb questions about how they became pregnant and how they're so scared! *gasp*

It's almost a joke, really. My husband and I tried to conceive for a while year. Last year around Thanksgiving time, it finally happened. I think it wasn't happening for a whole year because I was stressing so much over it. I kept thinking about the baby. I kept counting days, researching my ovulation charts, reading about all kinds of crazy methods to conceive a child. I had baby on the brain. Finally in November last year, I gave up. I had a move to think about. I had to pack things, clothes, furniture...had to get an apartment, start paying new bills with my husband, make a road trip to our new state..things were hectic and I forgot about baby-making, and somewhere around that time, it happened. I think when you are anticipating a child, your body isn't going to respond only because of how the stress hormones are high even though you don't know it. And this can even put your cycle off. It sucks, really. I have some really helpful sites for you though..you should check them out:
