I'm a 16 year old girl I need to get stronger not get big muscles just have strength how can I do this? lift wights like normal or what?

  1. push ups.

    yeah lift a couple wights but let me tell you i have personal fit for half of the school year and we do 20 push ups everyday along with crushes, jumping jacks, straches and walking/running.

    i got some lil muscles coming in from them pushups, i dont normally do them so it was kinda hard at first.

    but also try using a punching bag or something?


  2. yes dude. Only way  to build strength is:

    -Exercise: intense , regular weightlifting. Keep lifting heavier and heavier

    -Nutrition: Dont eat c**p and focus on protein (meat, fish, protein shakes etc)

    -Rest: As much as you can without damage to point 1 and 2. 8 hours minimum.

  3. Eat greens.  Eat healthy.  Drink water, all day.  Start walking, then jogging every day you can.  NO fast food, it makes you lethargic and dull minded (true).  Get a workout routine that you like, (like kick-boxing or dance maybe)  This stuff gets your body and mind ready for weight workouts, but keep them light.  Toning muscles is different from building.  You will become stronger and feel great.

  4. You just need to do some resistance training e.g use those stretchy bands (available where they sell exercise equipment) or use small weights to start with, even tins of beans etc. Any resistance builds up muscles quicker than normal exercise and doesn't give you huge muscles.

  6. It depends if you care about maintaining the stereotypical female look. If you do I'd recommend not weightlifting, the way I see it, there are 2 kinds of exercise. The kind that develops muscle, and the kind that keeps you slim. That might be just my messed up opinion, but take your pick.

  7. Theres many things you could do like run, walk, lift a certain amount of weight etc..
