I'm trying to grow my african american hair?

i got my hair permed 3 weeks ago and i want to know when i will start seeing new growth. also i wanna know how i can keep my hair healthy so it can grow. Or a routine i can follow. my hair is a little past my ears and want it to be shoulder length by January. thanx

  1. Hair grows every month (about half of an inch) so you should start seeing new growth soon. Relaxing your hair is not healthy for it, and because relaxing weakens the hair shaft it makes your hair more susceptible to breakage and brittleness. I'd recommend that you use all natural ingredients such as coconut oil, olive oil, and aloe vera gel on your hair from now on. Give yourself scalp massages and research hair growing essential oils and herbs. Go to GNC to find rosemary essential oil, tea tree, peppermint, and lavender as these can all aid in promoting hair growth. Refrain from relaxing your hair anymore and do not put too much heat on it. Keep it braided up and moisturized, as well.

    Also, hair growth can sometimes be hereditary, so if your family members' hair only reaches a certain length than your hair is more likely to reach that length as well.
