  1. That is probably because that when you play Brawl online it always laggs, the only way I overcome this problem is to play with friends.

But since you have no friends to play with, get up at like 1 in the morning and it shouldn't lagg. - Try that ;).

  2. The Nintendo WFC when it comes to Play with Anyone, leaves alot to be desired. I suggest you stick with playing with friends. That's what I do.

  3. I had this problem as well, sometimes I'd wait upwards of 15 minutes before I got a match. I don't know how true this is, but this was what causes that problem, to my understanding.

Smash Bros looks for people in your "region" (a number of miles from your location based on your IP address) and you play with them in order to keep a better connection. So if there are not many people on in that area, you might have to wait longer to find a match. The fact "groups" remain together and keep playing against each other as long as they are all connected means you could be stuck waiting for people to log in to the system.

Furthermore, it will not connect you to other players if your connection is not stable, or if it's too slow. This system isn't perfect since sometimes [read: usually] you still get excessively laggy matches. I don't think this part is true, but I've seen a few people make the claim.
