I'm trying to play sims 2 [: on my computer, but it sats i need directX 9.0c [details inside]

Question

it says "Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a DirectX compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest driver provided by the manufacturer. The application will now terminate."

i have no idea what that means. i tried to uninstall the game, and reinstall it again, but that doesn't work.

what should i do?

Direct X is a graphics card.

Sims 2 has very intricate graphics, given its "Sims."

The only way to run Sims on your computer is to go buy and install a better graphics card, or, purchase a new computer.

The same thing happened to me when I tried to play on my computer a while ago. It means that the graphics are too much to handle for your computer.

try downloading that, I can't remember if it worked for me when I downloaded it. I do remember that I was able to play it when I got a new computer. Maybe you should try purchasing a new graphics card for you computer.

its just simple, you will need the latest driver for your graphics adapter (video card if you have one, or latest driver for your built-in video)

Most driver today includes the latest directx ver9 and above. Or you can download it thru microsoft the directx9  and above version alone.

To know how to get the directx version you use, simply follow this step.

1. click start

2. click run

3. type dxdiag.exe

then a window will prompt in your screen go to "system" and below the "system information" look for the directx version.
