I keep getting the following message.

We are unable to deliver the message to <stluciecountyfreecycle@yahoogroups.com>...

You can only send plain text messages to this group. HTML or

other formats are not allowed.

I am not sending anything at all but plain text. What happened? I am a member of another group and I can still post messages to them.

  1. You must be using an e-mail program that automatically encodes all its outgoing messages with HTML. Some e-mail programs do this to make these messages look nicer to other e-mail programs that understand the HTML encoding. Unfortunately, this adds a bunch of unnecessary codes to e-mail programs that don't understand the HTML encoding, making the original message hard to pick out.

To explain why you can post to your other Group without problem yet not to your FreeCycle Group, some Yahoo Groups do not allow this HTML encoding, while some do. Your FreeCycle Group must be one of them that doesn't allow this encoding. Unless you can figure out how to turn off this automatic HTML encoding in your e-mail program, I believe your only option with your FreeCycle Group is to post from the Group web site.

  2. if you're using yahoo mail, there was a glitch and here it explains the issue
