I'm trying to remember the title of a Japanese tv series from the late 70's/early 80's?

When I was about 4 years old I watched a Japanese tv series about a superhero called "Spectreman". After "Spectreman" was taken off the air, they replaced it with another superhero tv series. As I recall, the story was about a japanese family that transformed into rockets or airplanes perhaps. My memory of this show is very vague. Does anyone remember this show?
