I'm trying to remove dead email addies from my Yahoo ID - Help please!!!?

I have several old emails addresses, which are no longer accessible to me, attached to my Yahoo ID, and I can't seem to remove them from my account. I've asked BT Yahoo, and Yahoo Groups for help with this, and nobody has been able to offer me a solution but they all keep giving me the runaround and passing the buck! This has now been going on for months, and now I don't even get responses to my emails! Can anyone here enlighten me please - you're my last hope!!!! Diane UK

if you click on your my account- click the first edit you see within the page- scroll and see Select Primary Email Address:   you will see you can back space some out. have you tried that yet? I just tried this and it can be done just like this. click finished when done which is at the bottom of the page
