  1. VISE GRIPS !!! What kind of stick do you have? they dont s***w on unless its a wally world special and I doubt that

If you havent already messed up your stick ,Maybe you wanna just take it to a Billiard supply and let them do it for you

Or cut it off with a single edge razor blade and glue on a new one its another one of those things that sounds easier than it is

  2. some cheaper ones are glued on,

  3. take it to your  local snooker club there do it for you for about 3 pounds

  4. W.O.W  I'm sorry but I just had to giggle a little bit after reading that.  I would imagine that you probably did some damage to the Farrel by using vise grips on it.  Look up your local billiard supply store and ask them if they do tip, and this case cue shaft repair.  And have them replace it for you (tips can run $15-$40 and a farrel should be around $35).  If it is a cue that has a s***w on tip, just toss it and look into a better cue.  Good luck, and keep rackn em up!!

  5. Is the tip a s***w on? If it's a half decent cue it won't be. If you're trying to unscrew the entire ferrule (the white part), stop it! You'll ruin it and have to pay someone to fix it.

To change the tip, you must cut it off with a razor blade. Then you need to sand off any part of the tip still stuck on the ferrule, as well as the old glue. Then sand the bottom of the tip to rough it up so the glue sticks. Glue the tip on with super glue and wait for it to dry completely. Then trim the tip with a razor blade (or tip cutting tool, but I assume you do not have one) so it is flush with the ferrule. Shape the tip with a proper tip shaping tool, then burnish the sides of the tip with a piece of leather until it is smooth.

Or, take it to billiards shop or pool hall and have it done. It usually costs around $10-20 depending on what kind of tip you want.
