And by good wholesale companies, I don't mean a wholesale company that sells used or refurbished c**p. I'm looking for a wholesale comp that sells NEW electronics such as cell phones, gaming systems, computers, laptops, car stereos, so on.

I would also like to sell clothing like high name brands like dolce and c, ralph lauren, so on. Any good wholesalers for cloths?

I'm looking to start and do this as my full time job. I already have a location (warehouse) to operate out of. Also, I would need a business license, right?

And if any of you have any experience doing this, please let me know how you guys like it.

  1. First thing to learn. A TRUE wholesale company will NOT charge you a fee to access their products on-line. If anyone is asking for monthly or yearly fee's, they are simply a drop ship company.

To buy true wholesale you will need a Federal Tax ID #. Without this, no true wholesale company will even speak with you. It is illegal for the public to buy wholesale, you need the Tax ID to prove your a re-seller. Again...If they don't require a Tax ID #, they are not wholesaler.

Good start to have your own warehouse. Wholesalers are going to require you buy in bulk. Going to be a lot of money upfront if you buy designer products but you can hold the best prices on eBay so you will slowly crawl into the black again.

As for websites, best to just Google it, errr, I mean Yahoo it (Sorry Yahoo.)  You and only you know the exact products your looking for. Some of the designer items you need to be a certified re-seller of their product to even gain access to their product. Don't be shy, just call them directly and ask how to go about it. Get your Tax ID first though.

  2. Hey Jack,

Here's a resource that I've had some success with as far as finding a legitimate wholesalers goes:

    http://www.toptenwholesale.com

No sign up or membership fees, just free access to their database of wholesale suppliers. Good luck.
