I'm trying to start a water fast, but keep failing, any suggestions that could make me forget my hunger?

  1. diet green  tea is a simple solution. it tastes better than water and is meant to fill you up so you arent hungry!


  2. What do you mean water fast? do you mean u only can drink water but not to eat?..

    That should be hard because drinking water would deceive your stomach and set it ready as if you are eating so the acid in your stomach increase which makes you more hungry..

    In case of complete fasting where you don't eat or drink any thing, usually you feel hungry at the first couple hours then you forget about it if you are busy doing your normal activities like what muslims do during Ramadan..& then they drink lots of water and eat food rich in fibers at night which takes much longer to digest during fasting so they don't feel hungry.. hope that answers your question

  3. What kind of water fast are you doing?  I would highly suggest doing a juice/water fast after reading this:

    First you need to determine if you need one and then you need to do it well so you won't be so hungry.

    I truly suggest just cutting out foods that are harmful to your body for ten days, and just try to eat healthy.  


  4. Fasting completely is not good for you. Your body needs nutrients to provide energy for living, breathing, moving, etc. If you dont eat at all your body will feed of its fat and muscles - this will ruin your body fat to muscle ratio and weaken your internal organs.

    You should not try to manage on less than 800 calories per day except under medical supervision. I would suggest you discuss your fast with your doctor.

  6. well i'd suggest you eat! but if not.. brush your teeth. no food tastes good when your breath is all minty fresh.

I have done a water fast before but the problem with strict water is that there are no calories or fat in it to give you energy or keep your hunger away.  I found a great fast that taste just like lemonade (well kinda) it does taste good and it has cayenne pepper also which keeps your metabolism up!  it is called the Master cleanse!

    I did it and i was not hungry what so ever bc the maple syrup controls your hunger... I lost weight and felt much better overall afterward.  I did it a total of 7 days. I also mixed mine up in gallon jugs that way i wasn't constantly having to mix the drink.  Every time you start to feel hungry you just drink the "lemonade" and the rest of the time water.  I think this one is great!!!
