  1. 1. You don't necessarily have to take driver ed classes.

    2. Go to the BMV and get a copy of the manual

    3. study the manual

    4. Go take the test

    5. Pass the test- you will then have a learners permit- a licensed driver will have to be with you-

The manual wil explaiin the rest-depending on what state you live in.

  2. ok first of all your almost 16, so go ahead and start taking driver's ed. if you're school doesnt offer it, you can find a driving school anywhere locally. just google it or yellow pages. after you take driver's ed, you should receive two forms, one saying that you completed driver's ed and another one that you have to take to the dmv. upon completion of driver's ed, you can go to the dmv and take the written test. if you pass it, you get your permit. however, you're permit is not legit until you schedule your first driver's training appointment and complete it. you need a total of i think 6 hours of official driver's training with an instructor. after you are done with drivers training, you have to wait 6 months before you can take the driving test at the dmv because you are only 16. after you pass the test, then you're home free! with license and all.

    good luck! :]

*edit: sorry this is for driver's in california. i don't know which state you live in. if anything go on www.dmv.ca.gov

  3. 1. Get your permit. (Take a test for it- simple) Drive for 6 months.

    2. Take classes. (Either during the 6 months of permit driving, or after/before).

    3. Complete 24 hours of classes, and 8 hours of driving (check your state's requirements)

    4. Take the written test.

    5. Take your driving test.

Your state's laws may be different, but that's the order.

Good luck, I just got mine =)

  4. Well, you have to get your learners license first. Since you are 15, you would have to wait 1 year. For example, if you got it today (July 28, 2008) then you could get your license a year from now (July 28, 2009).

  5. well it all depends where you are. each state hase differant rules. In oklahoma they reguire a drivers permit for 6months before license, so i would take drivers ed classes after you get a permit.

  6. Go to a drive test centre, book an appointment for your first test which I presume is going to be written. Next, go to drivers school if it is beneficial to you. Than when it has been long enough, take your road test.

  7. u mean to do it when ur 17. eas 10 points

  8. I have never heard of the REQUIREMENT to take Drivers Ed but i'm sure It varies by state. You didnt say where you lived so i'll tell you what I had to do.

I did not need drivers ed. In fact, it was too darn expensive and the free book you get is not that difficult to study.

Before I turned 16, I went to the DMV (division of motor vehicles) and picked up a free book on driving laws.

Then, I studied the book. WHen I turned 17, I was able to get my learners permit. This costs some money and I had to pass a written test based on the free book I studied. Once I passed the written test and get the permit, I was be able to practice driving with a licensed driver in the car with me.  This will probably be your parents or a patient neighbor. Just ask. After 6 months, I was eligible to take the road test. This required an appointment which you make with the DMV. Make sure you follow the book and do everything by the book including getting in and out of the car. Some of the testers can be anal retentive. Mine was pretty kool because I didnt come to a full stop and still passed. He was tired. So theres your hint if you want to cheat. schedule late. They will want to get you in and out because they are tired. Ok, good luck.

  9. you have to take drivers ed for about 2 weeks they give you a packet you have to have your school fill out a VOE bring your social security, passport, birth certificate, and a picture id

you have to take a test and if you pass great for you if you dont ohh well

Im 15 and my birthday is in Nov. and i already have my permit

  10. well you gotta wait until your 6 1/2....to be able to get your license....but you should study up and take your permit....then apply for driving school and have someone from your house help you learn how to drive when ever they have the time......you got six months...driving only takes about a month or 2 max to learn.....well to get a good hang of it.....
