I'm 15 and about 5'5. I weight 110 pounds. You can see my ribs on my chest n' stuff, but I have a gut in my stomach area. I work out regularly, drink tons of water, been drinking protien shakes daily, and I've recently started cadio.

I still have a gut after all that, what should I do? I can't afford to loose any more weight!

  1. I'd start by getting rid of the protein shakes.  First off they are a waste of money.  Secondly the body can't metabolize all that protein at once.  So the excess get routed to your gut.  I heard the best thing to do is eat six small hi protein meals throughout the day.  Good luck trying to work that into a busy schedule though.

  2. It is difficult to target a single body part to lose fat from, it would be best to stick to your cardio and add a core workout routine to get attention to your midsection.

Also, as you begin to work out your muscle mass will increase, so although you are losing fat you will be gaining weight.  Muscle weighs more than fat.

  3. work out, muscle weighs more than fat. do a lot of running and crunches and other exercises that target your abs. it is probably just baby fat anyway.

  4. You can't target areas to lose fat. You can try to tone your stomach area but it may not really work much.

  5. Is the gut fat, or just your insides? I think everybody has that, but if you are worried, do some core exercises to build up your abdominal muscles. If anything you will gain weight--muscle weight that is.
