  1. View->Toolbars->Word Count

    Or Tools-> Word Count

  2. Go to tools, wordcount. That will give you a lot of information on your document. Then just type it at the bottom of your document.

  3. Under Tools, there's Word Counter.  It tells you all kinds of stats about your doc.  Then you can create a footer (under the view menu, use the help if you need to), and put the count at the bottom of your essay.

    I realize you have to do this, but I wonder what possible reason she has for wanting the word count?!

  4. Best Answer?....

    Click where you want the number of words to appear.

    Click Insert | Field

    Chose "Document Information" under Categories

    Click "NumWords"

    Choose a Format from the right

    Click OK

    This puts a field code on the document so will save re-typing.

    Press Ctrl+A then F9 to update or ensure that you have "Update Fields" selected in Tools | Options | Print

  5. Highlight the writing and in tools click word count, the third one down. Hope I helped x

  6. Go to tools and the click on Word Count there you will see how many words you have written the just type the words at the bottom of the page

  7. Open your word document. Click Tools. Click word count on the dropdown menu.
