I'm using Vista ultimate x64, i installed IE 8 beta 1 and since then Windows Sidebar has stopped working.?

Question

After the installation of Internet explorer 8 beta 1, the system restarted and since then when ever i try to run windows sidebar, only the sidebar appears for 3 secs and then a window appears saying 'Windows Sidebar has stopped working-A problem caused the program to stop working correctly'... please help.

well thats why you wait for the offical release you only download beta programs if you want to help shot the problems with it. your going to have to uninstall IE 8 and install IE 7

120 dpi: Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 and Windows Vista Sidebar

If you use DPI Scaling on Windows Vista and the Windows Vista Sidebar, installing Windows Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 will cause rendering problems in Gadgets. To work around this issue, switch to 96 dpi. Or, uninstall Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1.

Instal  IE 7. It is the best.
