  1. Well they have beans.  I know they do offer soy milk, but only if it is a medical issue...maybe you can try.  As far as the eggs and cheese go I dunno.  I think you will just have to go without...maybe they could give you beans instead, but I highly doubt it.

  2. I don't think WIC hands out soy formula. Your baby won't be vegan but that's a good thing.

  3. You can be vegan and on WIC. Most everything they give you are dairy products, so you could only really get some juice and beans. If you are breasfeeding you could get some carrots as well. That's it.

  4. Seems that all they offer that is vegan is dried beans and maybe juice.  They push eggs and dairy.

  5. Doesn't WIC have something to do with food stamps? Why should that prevent you from being vegan?  No matter what your eating habits, you will always have to be budget conscious if you are broke.

  6. I don't know what WIC is...

  7. I've known vegans on WIC. One thing you can do is trade milk with a friend that would normally buy milk. Have them buy soy instead and then swap. Don't forget that milk, cheese, eggs and tuna are very valuable and if you have friends that are not vegan they will most likely help you out. I've had vegan friends on WIC and we've traded all sorts of things. Sometimes we'd go to the regular store and buy the non-vegan foods, I'd give my friend the face value of the food and then I'd take her to Trader Joe's where the soymilk and vegetarian foods are very affordable instead of her paying twice the price for vegetarian foods and soymilk that the grocery store charges. I hope you have a friend, sister, mom, or other member of your community that wouldn't mind helping you stay vegan while you care for your family.

  8. i wouldn't compromise being a vegan because of this. they offer hot and cold cereals, beans, some veggies, peanut butter, juices, etc.
