I'm very afraid of bugs and cant get rid of them. Help?

Since its summer and I live in a hot area a lot of bugs come into my house especially at night and since im the night owl in my house I see them but i cant kill them because Im afraid and I dont want to disturb my parents. I can only kill little bugs that you can berely see and thats all and with those little bugs i just swat them than squish them. I cant squish bugs so what should I do?

Well . . . check the screens. If they have holes, patch them with a little paper or something (ask your parents, first).

Don't turn on the lights at night -- that will attract bugs. The days are so long, you might want to try getting up earlier instead of staying up late.

The little bugs don't hurt you, so just leave them be. Lavender oil repels mosquitos and other kinds of bugs, so you might give that a try. Lemon balm does a good job, too.

Have you considered getting a bug-eating pet?

Make sure the area around your house doesn't have anything that catches water. Bugs can breed in pools of water.

Bugs are attracted to the light. Also, they're attracted to the smell of food. So, you might have food around the house that's giving off a particular smell.
