Is there something wrong with owning more than one house in the US?

If I owned several homes and some apartments and someone asked me how many, I'm not sure I could throw the number out there either. Because unless I were to count them every night (like sheep), it just wouldn't be that important.

It's an investment, much like the funds we invest our money in. I couldn't name off my funds or how much I have in each one.

Is anyone else bothered that Obama is making such a huge deal out of the number of homes a person owns? I'm wondering now if Obama has some sort of idea of how many homes each citizen should be allowed to own.

  1. I wish I owned a house at all lolol So no there is nothing wrong with owning many houses

  2. the fundamental difference between the liberal socialist and the fundamental elitist is their view of wealth=power.Elitist like Bush and McCain think everything in the world is theirs just for the taking. the socialist like Hillery and Obama think everything belongs to the people in power so they can redistribute as they see fit.

so to answer your question  i would say yes Obama probably thinks the Bushes and Trumps and Kennedy's of the world should 'give' their 'excessive ' properties to the less fortunate.  then it would be "fair"

take note the rest of us know they are both wrong but people with a real seance of justice and humanity won't  get any where near politics and the B.S.

remember any one willing to run for office has an agenda and people with an agenda are not your friends. if they are running they aren't qualified to get your vote.

vote vote any way it will keep their heads down for a few days. tmm

  3. I'm less worried about a presidential candidate who doesn't know how his investments are split than one who doesn't know how many states in the the US.

  4. It is great one someone can own more than one house.  If I owned more than one, I would surely know how many, just as I know how much money I have invested. Not knowing what the status of your own investments, show he is out of touch with the normal person.  By the way, it takes more time to close on a house than just to invest in the stock market, did you ever here of a closing.  It takes more than just seconds.

  5. Just like a person knows how many cars they own, they should also know how many houses they own.  I've known people that have owned several houses.  And they knew exactly how many houses they had.  McCain's just getting old.  His memory is failing him.

  6. Absolutely NOT!  We should live to the fullest and get ahead as much as possible.  Capitalism is the reason why we are the best country on the planet and everyone wants to live here.  It's the "American dream" that so many immigrants strive for.

I don't see Obama living in a 3 bedroom home that would be "just" big enough for his family to live comfortably. He lives extravagantly as well.  He has no room to talk. Just more of him being a hipocrite.

  7. No, comrade, we should each only have what we need.  That's crimethink.  Be careful, the thought police will get you.

  8. get out now b4 the house police come after u...

  9. Nothing wrong with it at all. If you can afford to purchase and maintain 15 houses and a couple of apartment complexes, good for you! Or whoever.

  10. Not "I won't run a negitive campaign, I did not vote against medical care for humans that survive abortions", Not I'll run on the left, get Hillary out of the way, then run on her platform, Obama? He doesn't lie

  11. I'm not bothered by it.  It just shows how desperate liberals are.  I too, couldn't tell you how many stocks I own offhand.

  12. Personally, I believe that Obama is following along the lines of the Democratic party who looks out for the little guy- but on a serious note... Investment in the housing market is dangerous these days due to the declining market

Unless you can find yourself in a place of growth, one could easily lose their investment... Honestly I think Obama is just making a big deal to separate the elitist who own half the country versus the middle class with one house per family.

I seriously doubt that any presidential candidate will be taken seriously if they talk about property owning and such because the presidential nominees are for the most part independently wealthy and have quite a bit of land themselves... typically.

  13. yes, I's sure you are 'very concerned'. As wil the voters be when they have to choose between healthcare, food, mortgage payments, utilities, etc....each month. It isn't about the houses...it is about McCain's repeated attacks on Obama for being 'elitist'. It is about the fact that our economy is in the tanks and McCain's advisor is calling americans whiners.....it is about the fact that McCain has 38 million in assets and thinks the economy is fine. It is fine....for him.

  14. You don't understand the reason behind it.

The only reason why this is happening at this very moment precisely has to do with the current housing industry and its meltdown. The working class are loosing their homes while the wealthy take advantage and purchase them, as a kid buys candy at a candy store. Because of their unlimited resources, they can swift through the slump period without a problem. They will then sell these homes at staggering prices and make unbelievable amounts of profits on the backs of those who lost their homes and those new purchasers. Is this fair to you? No to me. So it is a big deal and it should be if the country wants to get out of this economic hole it's in.

  15. No, there's nothing wrong with owning more than one house.  Obama is just an idiot.

This is a country of freedom.  You have the right to own whatever you wish to legally own and however much of it you want.  If you own three houses, an apartment complex, and an office building as part of your rental business, that is your decision to make.  Not his.

  16. I think Obama is just trying to point out that he does have a large number of houses worth a large amount of money; and that he agrees that our economy is not bad (like the Bush's).  Well, if I had X amount of houses and tons of money my perception of the economy may be skewed too.

McCain will be bringing the trash talking out for Obama too - it is inevitable in politics.

    Have a good day!
