Lost in space....you're somewhat correct...I voted for McCain the first time he ran and supported Mike Huckabee in the primaries....I think something has snapped in his brain...he's not the Mavrick anymore

As a Democrat, I feared he would pick Romney. He would have been a viable VP. McCain's choice showed his recklessness with the security of our country.

I'm excited that he didn't. If he had picked Romney he probably would have had a good chance of winning, with Romney's economic and experience, but now he threw it away for someone with no experience.

You should feel very lucky that McCain did not pick Romney.  Tom Ridge was the smart pick, but by picking Palin McCain is only temporarily delaying his inevitable defeat to Obama and Biden.

Yes, I would have liked Romney and that is who I was hoping for, but to be honest I think the Palin pick was better, I am much more excited for the ticket now, then I would have been if Romney was picked. We wont see the last of Mitt though.

McCain and Romney in the White House together, that would be a reality show. They HATED each other, so if McCain picked Romney, i would have lost whatever respect i had for him because that would have been desperation.

I like Palin so far, just because she seems convicted in what she says. I may change my mind once i learn more on the content.

I was hoping for Romney, but I'm happy with Palin.  I know that Huckabee really didn't like Romney.  If he had picked Romney, he might would have lost a lot of the Huckabee supporters, the religious right, and that would have been a big problem.

But the more I've researched Palin the more I like the pick.
