I'm visiting Auckland , NZ for 3 days at the end of June as a stop off, what weather should i expect?

I'm from the UK so I'm used to cold, will the weather be anything like it is over here?

Auckland weather is as diverse as the people that live here.  Cold in the morning, easing into torrential rain by mid morning, sunshine by late afternoon, expecting a light windfall by nightfall:o)

Like an English summers day!! Cool and raining. The best advice I can give you when traveling around New Zealand is to dress like an onion. You can always peel it off but if you get cold you can't put it on if you don't have it with you.

One thing you will not get and that is snow.

its the start of winter over there at that time.....in aukland expect the temp to be about 10 +-5....and expect rain....aukland is a narrow streach of land with sea on two sides, plan for a typical winters day here and you'll be fine...if you get caught short clothing is cheap by our (irish) standards in places like "farmers" (yes thats a shop).

it is usually very wet and rainy that time of year, but in comparison to the UK winter it is very mild, temperature wise.  Even on rainy days, you get the sort of all seasons in one day thing happening - heavy downpour in the morning, a couple of hours bright sunshine then more rain.  Who knows perhaps you'll hit a lucky spell.  Do bring warm clothes for the evenings as it does get very cold at night in the winter.  For the daytime I'd recommend long pants and t-shirts plus jerseys and ofcourse rain coat/umbrella. There';s no way you'll need hats/gloves/scarf as it doesn't get that cold.  Make sure you bring your sunglasses too - the sun here is blinding even in winter!

Temperature isn't too bad but it can be very wet.  Unlike the UK when wind from the continent arrives quite dry New Zealand all the winds can bring rain.

Cold, definitely raining a lot. Depending where you are from - cold can be relative. Auckland has its very cold days, but generally it not freezing like Christchurch or Queenstown. No snow.

Welcome to New Zealand and enjoy your stay. IMPORTANT: Do not bring ANYTHING to eat into the country. Read your visitor's card on the plane carefully and fill it it correctly. If in any doubt - declare it and MAF (customs guys) will be very decent about it. Cheers

I'm from Ireland and it gets b*****y cold over there and i was in Christchurch in June-July last year and the weather was lovely yea... cold at night but after 10am it's lovely i wouldn't worry to much about the cold

Yes, it will be cold there at that time of the year. June is the beginning of their winter in New Zealand. So bring your winter clothes.

It doesn't get too cold in Auckland. Be prepared for the odd frost, but it's not all that likely.

At the end of June it can sometimes rain 2 days out of 3. Unless it's a tropical storm dumping the rain, it won't be heavy and you probably won't need a mac. Most Aucklanders just keep an umbrella very handy.

Woollen clothes will absorb alot of moisture before they start to feel wet - and they provide warmth.

Wet, windy, cold but not as bad as the UK.

All seasons in one day are possible.

Check out the NZ Met office website nearer the time for weather forecast.
