I wish to watch a bullfight during my Madrid trip. Wondering if there is any show at 14 September? How's the cheapest price ticket I could possibly get?

  1. the 14th is a Sunday?  yeah, probably.  Search Las Ventas Arena, and see what the box office says.

I paid about 10€ per seat in the sun (???) but we were in the top seats, under the awning, the sun didn't even come near touching us, in Sevilla, though I don't know what tickets cost in Madrid.

  2. I'm not at all sure there is a bullfight on that Sunday, 14 September. Two sources of mine say NO but one says YES so I don't know who to believe. The official Madrid bull-ring website, http://www.las-ventas.com , is notoriously non-current/future, as usual, and they don't list anything past this coming Sunday's bullfight.

Chances are the cheapest (and worst) tickets will cost you about 7 or 8 Euros for the highest section in the  sun and farthest away from the action (which always takes place closer to the more expensive - and shaded - sections. Be sure to rent the seat cushion for about 2 Euros. Your rear will thank you.

But just so you know, it's no "show". There are no big-screen TVs to see the action better and there are no loud-speakers for play-by-play accounts.

UPDATE: It seems there is NO bullfight in Madrid City on your date. I just checked http://www.fiestas.net , Comunidad de Madrid, your date, and there's no bullfight in the city. There are bullfights, however, in the nearby towns of Colmenar de Oreja, Móstoles, and Morata de Tajuña - but 2 of the 3 of these you'd have to go by bus. Móstoles, now, you can go by metro.
