I'm visiting canada for a month in october-can I get some sort of a part time job?

I have a PR visa,but haven't been to canada before which means I don't have a SIN card or a PR card

  1. well.. u cant work without a SIN card.. but if u have a PR i guess u can get ur SIN without any difficulties...


  2. Without  a SIN number, you are not able to legally work in Canada.  No legitimate employer is going to hire someone for only 1 month who has no proof of residency.

  3. You cannot legally get a job here unless you get a work permit along with your visa. The visa generally allows you to come here as a tourist, not as a potential employee.

  4. I'm assuming PR means perminant residency.

    I have no idea how you got your PR without being in Canada...Maybe try applying for a SIN card at Service Canada.  (I'm sure they have a website but you can just google it)
