I will be doing there? I am only going to be working there for a month and a half, so what kinds of things do you think I will be doing? It is a small place by the way.

  1. I did that when I was in high school, and depending on the Vet's practice (primarily equine/horses, pets, etc) you may find yourself doing all kind of things like bathing pets, washing out kennels, helping the vet brand cows or help with the supply warehouse, etc.  I was offered a chance to tag along to the "Sale barn" day where the vet was on hand to give quick physicals to the animals being traded or sold, helped him brand & neuter some bulls, etc. I decided to stick with bathing the pets and assisting in his minor cat & dog surgery.    I was saddened a little with the animals brought in that were too sick or injured to recover, so there was some euthanizing as well.  You'll learn a lot in a few days, so you'll probably be presented with a first week of helping and observing everything so you'll know what you can do and where you canbe of assistance to the vet and his/her staff.  THe one I worked for was excellent with animals and had a good rapport with his human customers as well.  I think it's a fine opportunity that not everyone gets to do.  I think you'll get a lot from it.

  2. feeding the animals, cleaning cages and the floor. Playing with the cats and dogs. Taking out the trash.  Similar to being a parent but instead of children its animals you are responsible for
