Im considering finding a location thats about 12 acres and would be in a medium populated area. What would be the average cost of an acre in northern ca just some estimate?

100 yards per acre so 12 would be plenty for parking clubhouse and a 40 bay driving range.

  1. skip on the club house by building near a pub/bar. Just the Pro shop then. Have lights for night time hitting and be near a highway so it advertises itself.

  2. Perhaps you should look for some acreage that was a farm,  a pasture , etc which you could lease from the owner. Golf driving ranges aren't the biggest moneymakers so unless you owned the land outright from the start, chances are slim to none of getting reasonable purchase prices.

  3. lol i love comedy, very funny

  4. Well with the way the real estate market is you should be able to find a bargain.  Try looking around Silicon Valley, shouldn't be more than a couple million per acre.  But don't worry the people living there can pay about $1000 for a bucket of balls.
