I'm wanting to find the Batley parish records for before 1700.

Im doing my family tree and i need to know how to find the parish records for the Batley area. Who holds them, can i purchase them on a CDROM? or can i get them online?? Ive done the genesreunited/ancestry/familysearch sites now its time for the next stage. Ive got back to 1690 and now im stuck. Any help or tips would great.

    I'm astonished that you can search the parish registers from 1690 to 1837 without knowing this sort of stuff.   Looks like a trip to the West Yorkshire Archive Service in Wakefield is your next step.
