I seen the ad in the Conroe Courier and I sent in my resume and was contacted and received a check and I don't know what to do with it. I'm not sure this is real. I called and searched the web for this comapny and it's real but I can't find Star point and only have an email as the contact.

Why would they send you a check?

It sounds like a counterfeit check scam to me.

Did you sent them your name, address, birthdate and social security number? Be wary, they might be into identity theft also.
