  1. how about story time, coloring, maybe play dough?, finger paint, maybe go out side find a bucket fill it with water and do the what floats and what sinks game, taking walks, maybe make up an scavenger hunt for him, maybe if he has a friend invite him or her over and do the scavenger hunt together might be a little fun. or if he does not have any friends he can do it by him self too. that's all i can think of right now i hope this helps a little.

  2. Hi!! Here is one of my previous responses from another question that is very similar to yours.

It's always fun to incorporate games that will increase a child's cognitive skills. :)

I love to play 'memory.' If you don't want to buy the game, you can easily print out pictures of different items from different categories (like food, transportation, household items, clothing, animals, etc).

You can help increase his vocab and still have fun.

You can also increase it's difficulty by using pictures in pairs based on function or relationship (such as: seashell/beach; bone/dog; nest/bird etc).

You can also play the 'poor' version of a fishing game. Have the child sit with you and color drawn fish (he can also attempt to draw them!). Add numbers, symbols, whatever!! to each fish. Then you can cut them together.

Attach a paper clip to each 'fish' and, if you can, get a small magnet. I use the cheap loose magnets you can buy anywhere, and tie a string.

Then, fish away!!! You guys can make your own rules, which also makes the game a little more interesting. :)

  3. 2 WEEKS, Well, buy a big scrapbook, & Tape & help him create his own little memories scrapbook, I bet that would be fun, paste things like his drawings & coloring papers in it, & photo,s if mom will allow that.

  4. Scavenger hunt, simple cooking projects, arts and crafts...walking to a playground or park?

  5. crafts, painting, coloring, is he allowed to watch movies??

read to him, if you have age appropriate board games (candy land, chutes and ladders etc) do that

    playground everycouple of days

get some word flashcards and do them in alphabetical order telling him what letter the word starts with

  6. read stories, bake cookies, go for a walk, put on some music and dance, color, go places, play-doh, pillow fight, hide an seek, and loads more

I dont know where you live but in Baltimore, MD there is the science center and port discovery, both great for kids.

    Momo!

p.s. please dont report this thnx so much

  7. My 4yo likes to draw and cut out shapes.  I have an art set with glue and pom poms, craft sticks and foam cut outs.  We use this a lot and she just gets creative and makes things.  It can keep her occupied for a couple hours at a time.  We also like to go to the park, play in the sprinkler or toss water balloons at each other and play checkers.
