I'm wondering if it is legal to sell stuffs such as accessories/clothing w/o license on street during weekend

In NYC around soho area..Because I heard my friend said..It is legal to sell stuff w/o license on weekend but not weekdays..so Im wondering if it is true..coz I have some stuffs that I want to resell..So please advise!!!

I've seen people sell stuff without license. I think it's okay as long as you're not selling fake stuff.
