I'm wondering if it is ok that my tongue is doing this after I got it pierced?

Is it ok to have like white it looks like skin on the top around the tongue ring and on the bottom too?? I'm just wondering because this is my 1st time having it pierced it almost looks like a scab or something someone please tell me whats going on

you need to wash the bar when you brush your teeth and you also need to swish mouthwash several times a day, especially after you eat. it will heal but it will be uncomfortable for a week or so
