  1. If all human carbon emission ceased today.. the total green house gas put into the atmosphre would still be something like 99.9% of what it is now.

There is NOTHING humanity can do to stop global warming.  NOTHING.

It's a natural cycle caused by the sun.

  2. You cannot STOP emitting carbon dioxide, each time you exhale, you release CO2, can you live without breathing?

The key point is to release as much CO2 as possible that comes form the biomass and will thus be captured by plants to fuel the next cycle, in a sustainable process.

Until this is done, there are several things that can be done: turn off the light in any room that is not occupied, do not over indulge with heat in winter and air conditioning in summer, drive slower on the highway, and so on.

This driving slower is what I do, but that apparently does not prevent other people from tailgating dangerously even if there is a passing lane to the left...

  3. Global Warming is a trojan horse for Socialism, wake up Americans. Global warming is at the fore front because politicians found how to use a new platform to get re-elected. The world leaders use it because they found ways to make money at it. This is a made up problem just like Global Cooling in the 1970's. Wake up people. I agree we need to be more efficient with our resources, and we should fine and jail companies who are dumping into our rivers maliciously. I want to stop the raiforest destruction, but to say that global warming is a serious man made issue and we need to destroy the American economy and bow down to the rest of the world certainly does not float my boat. Follow the money on this one and you will see that it is all for political gain and grant money for those scientists who profit off of the government if global warming stays at the front of the issues. Look deep into the Keoto (sp?) Treaty, first of all they took jets to a non-central resort location. Not very environmentally concious. THen in the parameters of the treaty they have a clause that makes it so you can buy or sell polution credits. This is all about shifting wealth and breaking down the United States. This is painfully obvious, just look at peoples agenda. The earth's mean temperature has risen .6 degrees C in the past 125 years. Greenland's icecaps have gotten colder in the past 10 years. The Scientists who do not gain anything on their posisition will tell you that the earth has a natural progression and this is what we are seeing. The UN report is made up of POLITICIANS not a good spread of scientists. THere are as many or more scientists who believe that man in NOT the reason and it is over hyped, but their voice is not heard in the LIberal Mainstream Media. This issue is 99% political, and an attempt to make the USA a socialist nation, and eventually communisim. WAKE UP AMERICA, IT IS TIME TO BE AMERICANS. FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE. STOP THE LIES

  4. I gave up farting.  No more methane gas from me.

  5. the same thing that Al Gore is doing nothing if he closed his mouth the temp. would go down

  6. I don't eat meat, its less effecient way of getting food than non meat products and cows let out methane which is much worse than CO2.

  7. Everything I can. Turn off lights, recycle, buy biodegradable stuff, sign petitions to urge the government to make laws to stop global warming, and I try not to idle my car.

  8. A lot more than Al Gore.

I do not heat my swiming pools at my homes when I am not there.

  9. I bought a new "07 Corvette that gets 30mph on the highway with AC running at 65mph.

I also read Michael Crichton's "State of Fear" I did my research - there is no such thing as global warming.

So sorry that you bought into that.

  10. I'm writting letters to Al Gore pleading for him to quit flying that huge jet of his all over the world!

  11. I get everywhere by foot, bike, skateboard or subway. If I have to drive somewhere I carpool.

All the light bulbs in my house are the energy-efficient ones.

I don't leave lights on when I don't need them.

    I use energy-smart appliances.

I support a lot of recycling and use products made from (post-consumer) recycled material.
