Question:

I'm working on a art project that uses matches, how can I make them less flammable?

They are close to 1000 large wooden 'strike on box' matches. I tried soaking them in water but they still strike once they dry out. Whatever the solution is, it can't change the appearance of the matches. Thanks for your help!

  1. try to dip the heads of the matches in mogpodge or elmers glue and let them dry, or spay a clear coat of paint on them.
