I'm working on garage door [sectional 2 door Gage steel door] replaced gear and now my door wont go up or Dow

followed instuction, checked sensors,but motor only spins left and then spins right.with or without chain installed...indicator light blinks 5 times,pauses then blinks 5 and so on..why do motor wont go all the way ...please help..thank you....happy new year...2007...

Im not sure what kind of operator you have or what gear you replaced but it sounds like a photocell error. It sounds like you checked them but make sure that they are lined up and that one light goes offwhen you break the beam. If not that check that there is not a break in the wire and that connections are good.  If that checks out then get owners manual and set it up from scratch.

The human power is better. Then not so many things break. Syncronize the length of the chain that drives the lift.
