Question:

I'm worried about my sister a little bit?

I'm 13 years old and my sister is 11, and I'm kind of skeptic right now. My sister is about 4'10 and 120 pounds, a little bit overweight. She knows that and sometimes feels bad about it, and I know she wants to have a good image. We share a bathroom, and we have a little basket above our toilet which we keep magazines and toilet paper in. But while I was going to the bathroom, I noticed a pink Conair buzzing thing. My mom uses razors and there are no other girls in our house other than the two. So is my sister old enough to shave her legs? I think she is kind of young, but I thought it may be because she turned 11 the 16th of July and feels maybe a little more grown up now. So what do you guys think?

P.S. Sorry for the long question!

  1. I was nine, and my little sis was 10. That's a perfectly good age to start. What matters is that she was ready.

  2. first of all let me just say that it is so cute that you worry about ur little sis!!! haha i wish i had a big bro like you! :) im the oldest so i know what its like...im 15 and i stared shaving my legs when i was in 6th grade..its not that big od a deal at all! she probablt just wants to feel a little more grown up and alot of her friends probably already shave so she wants to fit it ya know? if you see cigarettes in that basket, then you should be worried!!! lol hope i helped!

  3. Just encourage her with truthful compliments about her intelligence and any other NON gender  things.  This will help her to realize that growing up  fast is NOT needed.   How about spending time with her walking or biking or even playing board games?  KID STUFF.  (c:

  4. So your sister just turned 11...........well, i honestly think that around the age of eleven is a good age to start shaving that when i started. dont worry too much about your sister just trust that she is getting older and becoming more ready to make more choices on her own

  5. chill man.

    she's 11.

i started shaving when i was like 9.

sometimes it helps to boost your self esteem. maybe thats what shes doing.

and besides those razors are hard to cut yourself on purpose with.

    just mellow out.

if you still keep worrying maybe just ask her.

  6. Well grab the mags and throw em out. Just makes girl more skinny, the thing that girls shouldnt become. Also maybe tell her to get up at 6:00 and start a short run. getting longer each morning. Dont eat fat foods too also you dont need it. And maybe throw the razors out too if you fell like it

  7. I think it's her decision. If she feels uncomfortable with the hair on her legs then let her!!

  8. I didn't start shaving until I was 12 and in the 7th grade. I think the shaving point is different for everybody because everybody's hair grows at different times as well as a different paces. Mine didn't start growing until I was around 11 or 12, so that's why I was allowed to start. Maybe hers just grows a little bit faster, so yeah.

I don't know, ask your mom if she let her do it.

  9. hey man, dont sweat it, she is just growing up thats all. everyone goes through it. Give her space to grow up and mature and just be supportive for her when she needs you. Girls are curious with shaving so if they accidentally cut themselves they're just learning thats all my friend.Hoped this helped

  10. Yes! She is old enough!

  11. she just being  a typical ****

its all good  shell give you some if you ask
