I'm worried about my teenage son and his girlfriend. Please see details.?

My son is 16 (I also have 2 younger daughters, 12 and 10). I am a single mother (husband died just after my youngest was born.) Anyway...

my son started dating this girl about 2 months ago (they go to school together, she's 16 also). It is his first girlfriend and he's very taken with her. He talks to her every night, spend all weekend with her, talks to me about her ALL the time, etc. So I met her 2 weeks ago and to put it frankly, I do not like her at all for my son. Her hair was dyed bleach blonde, i thought she was dressed a little inappropriatly showing cleavage and with extra tight jeans on, etc. She had a pleasant enough personality but she just seemed a bit "trampy" (sorry to use that word). Then come to find out, she lives with her mom and grandmother. Her mom is 33 years old and her grandmother is 50! Not an encouraging track record for your 16 year old son's girlfriend! But I figured it's just puppy love and he'll outgrow it.

He might just be saying that to impress his friends or something.  Why don't you just sit down and talk to him about it?

hes probably not just saying that. and honestly you shouldnt judge someone because of what theyre family did or what they look like. if you think your so good preachin all this garbage you would think you wouldnt judge people eh? but anyway. not cool to go through the messages and hes probably using her. and you cant really stop him just tell him how you feel and to use protection if he does. its gonna happen sometime.

I totally agree with Beth. us guys when were young(some of grow out of it) talk big to show off but then act totally innocent with the girls. you should sit him down and talk to him about it.

by the way I totally think parents going through their kids stuff is mandatory! you sound like a decent mom. good luck

Talk to him about safe s*x and how to use birth contols and stuff like that
