and I know this is probably frowned upon, but how do I write my Windows XP CD to a CD-R, and still allow it to work?

I tried just copying the files over, and I burned a CD, however, when attempting to install Windows, it failed.

Step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated!

  1. There are DVD stores and some computer stores that offer a service to remove certain scratches on CD's.

You can also buy a kit from the same places and do it yourself!
