Question:

I'm worried i might do something stupid. . .?

ok so lately i've been feeling over weight but i checked my bmi and it was normal, but i still feel over weight and fat and i've been looking at DIETS, i'm 13-14 and i no diets aren't healthy and i don't need it but i think i might end up doing something stupid like stop eating, i've always skipped meals but just because i didn't realize i was hungry

i don't want to talk to anyone so pleeeaaaase don't suggest it cus i just won't (long story)

so i don't no wat to do, i'm losing control of myself, h**l it was hard for me to rite this

so if you can help. . .

    How much to you actually weigh?

    What is your dress size?

    I think you shouldn't diet just increase your exercise

    You will feel better :D

  2. After diet, you will get even more fatter. No point doing diets, trust me!! From 13-18 years old people are growing and their bodies are changing. Most teenagers (girls usually) get a little bit overweight. As the time goes, you will see that your body will change and there shouldn't be any worries of being fat. BUT this does not mean you have to eat chocolates and McDonald's all the time :)  

  3. If you want to lose weight, just eat better and exercise. h**l you don't even have to eat better, just eat less, you can eat c**p as long as you limit your daily calorie intake and you'll still lose weight with exercise.

  4. This is exactly like me. I am 13 almost 14 as well and i also feel fat i don't know why lol. I am 5 stone 6 (35kg/77 pounds) and people say i am anorexic but i actualy eat like 4 packets of crisps a day lol but i think ill cut down cause i think its kinda taking advantage on me being naturaly thin lol so any way i think the problem why you feel fat is because that you do put on a little bit of fat around your hips and tummy and because your not used of this feeling thats why you feel fat but i honestly dont know why people call me anorexic cause my lower tummy where my womb and intestines are stick out ALOT and look as if im pregnant lol so i wouldent worry and wat ever you do do not starve youself the best tip i can give you is dont eat big meals but have small portions and have more snacks

I'm 17 and i have the exact same problem as you and its always been on and off like that sine i was 14, but ive started going walking with some of my friends because it doesn't cost money and people always say to me don't worry about your weight your fine but it depends on how you feel yourself. Doing walking ive started to lose weight and don't skip meals it will just make it worse i used 2 always try and eat less but the less you eat the less calories you'll burn. So just eat 3 meals a day and if you want a snack just have some dried fruit or normal fruit. Ive been through all sorts of phases where ive been obsessed with my weight and thought of doinfg stupid things but I'm slowly starting to forget about it.

  6. eat healthy - fibers help you to maintain balance and keep sugars to the very bare minimum, inc. soda!  it can be tempting when you see all those fake anorexic girls in movies and on magazine covers but they either have awful eating disorders or a ton of money and time to spend with personal trainers, OR they are air brushed - you wouldn't recognize them if you saw them in real life.  another option that may help is to join a support group of people who have experienced eating disorders, that way you can see what they have been through and they can best advise on how to avoid the temptation. my cousin has seizures because of an eating disorder in her past and she doesn't even do that to herself anymore! it is a dangerous thing to get in to! trust the BMI avoid the stup*d magazines and take care of yourself!

Don't stop eating.  Please just don't do it.  If you want to feal healthier then just exercise and stay active.  I really notice a different in my sekf-esteem when I exercise a few times a week.  Just play some sports or go running a few times a week - it's amazing what a little exercise will do to your opinion of yourself.

  8. I am a recovering anorexic, DO NOT stop eating!

    Eating healthy with "unhealthier" foods in moderation will make you feel healthy, control your weight and provide you the energy you need.

    You can not totally stop eating the unhealthier foods because you just crave them more.

    Eat healthy and get moving.

    There are great healthy alternatives to about any unhealthy food you crave...

  9. walk fast 3 times a week in a field around the perimiter for 30 mins so you dont see anyone and cut down on goodies. stick to it and the wieght will fall off in a few weeks hope this helps.....its helped me

  10. People are really harsh to judge you as they do. I'm 14 myself and I respect that you understand and appreciate that you do have a problem.

    I share the similar feelings of being overweight when my bmi suggests I have an ideal weight. I think my problem is that I'm not very fit and want to get toned.

    I can't sugggest any ways of helping you to feel better but by talking to someone. I'm sorry, but I went to see a councillor because I had depression because of a serious robbery in which my dad was stabbed, but I came out feeling so much better. I even came to view the councillor as a friend! But I understand you not wanting to talk to one, I went to see many and some of them made me much worse!

    My feeling is that you have to motivate yourself, maybe by doing exercise to get yourself skinnier instead of not eating. By exercising you will feel loads better. I promise you!

  11. Please, dont ever stop eating. I have an anerexic cousin and once you start it never leaves you. Just eat healthy foods. Instead of like ice-cream for dessert have an apple. And just watch the amounts you eat. You can still have chocolate and stuff but watch the amounts of it you eat. If you eat healthy and watch the amounts of food you eat you will loose weight and do it the healthy way. Just please dont ever stop eating.

  12. Just take a deep breath a relax. First of all diets ARE healthy when done in the right way and if needed. Even if you BMI is fine u can still eat a healthy and well balanced. If u feel the urge to "Diet" just try making small adjustments like drink water instead of pop. Veggies and Fruit instead of chips and cookies. and maybe incorporate moderate exercise like 30-45 mins. of cardio a day. Just relax u are young and u shouldnt be so so so worried about ur weight right now. Just do everything in moderation.  

  13. at age 13/14 your body is still forming and changing, i wouldn't make any rash decisions just yet but maybe just take up something simple like jogging or swimming that's really good all round exercise and you'll notice yourself toning up and feeling better and more energised.

    i also recommend cutting down or replacing certain foods within ur diet like chocolate and crisps and especially fizzy drinks.. they're obviously bad for you, and personally i feel worse for having them i.e lethargic and un-energised. Just find alternatives :)

    there is never a need to stop eating, there are so many great foods out there that are tasty, filling and good for you! just experiment a bit :)


  14. Dieting is not the way to lose weight, exercise is. If you skip a meal, you're body craves fuel, and you'll find that the next time you do eat, you'll probably eat more than you would have done before, so the whole thing was a waste of time. Exercise regularly, and you will see the benefits, and feel a lot more healthy for it.

    Again, dieting does not work, exercsie does.

Just try this for one month.  You are just going to make healthy choices.  For breakfast, choose things like oatmeal with raisins and splenda (no pre-made oatmeal).  For lunches & dinner, baked chicken, no fried.  Veggies with everything, low fat meats, like chicken, turkey, fish, shrimp.  Eat every 3 hrs.  I used to grab a handfull of nuts and dried fruit to eat, if I had to skip breakfast.  Eat a fruit for a snack, or 3 whole grain crackers and a cheese stick.  Skip full sugar drinks.  I know, in one month, you'll lose weight, without even trying.  Good luck!

  17. Okay you're really not making sense. You admit to being dumb and naive. You also admit to not even being fat. So what is your question? Oh wait, you're just one of those little tweens that want attention and for people to be like "OMG you're so skinny, like, you're so pretty and stuff!" Well **** that, grow up little girl.
