1. I really wouldn't worry if I were you, because if you do get the RROD, and you haven't opened your system which Im guessing you haven't, you can just call 1-800-4my-xbox and they will fix it for you, for free. Usually you dont even need your warranty, I didn't.

It takes about 3-4 weeks max to get back if you send it to them. But I really don't think its the games that make it overheat, for me its just when I don't have a cooler or I leave my xbox on too long.

Good Luck and I hope this helped.

  2. You use too many commas in your sentences. No offense.

Well just limit your game-play slightly. If you play for less then 5 hours straight, you should be fine. Just give it time to cool down after each time you play. My friend's 360 got the "red rings" after less than a week cause my other friend played Call of Duty for over 8 hours straight and left it on when he left...moron. lol

I'm sure games that make the hard drive work extra hard heat it up more, but as long as you give it time to cool down after each time you play, you should be fine.

    Good luck.

  3. the only reason a XBOX 360 will overheat is is you leave it on for hours playing any game, thus causing the awful RED RING OF DEATH!

  4. any game can hurt your system.

and it you don't even have to play it for very long.

i only played my system for 3 maybe 4 hours a day and i'd play

for like one hour then wait like 2 or 3 hours and play again for another hour and so on until i reached like 4 hours.

anyway i just sent my system in about a month ago and it took 3 weeks to get back then it broke down within 2 weeks of getting it back.

because i got the red ring of death.

so it really doesn't matter what games you play on how long you play the system just freakin sucks.

  5. Hi

It is not so much that try and get a Nyko intercooler for additional cooling and this will help also keep the power brick up off the floor so it can pump more air out!

    Hope this helps!

  6. Only 1 in 3 Xbox 360s will get the Red Ring of Death.

Your system has the chance of getting the RRoD from the following:

    * Leaving your system on for a very long time

    * Knocking it over too much

    * Leaving your system in high temperatures

    * Spilling anything on it

Just avoid doing these and buy a cooling fan to keep in the safe zone.

  7. I've had an xbox 360 for about a year and have never experienced that problem. Just don't play games 24 hours a day and you'll be fine. The red ring of death happens to people who can't stop playing, thats what i've noticed. Either way they'll fix it if it happens.

  8. playing games on a 360 wont give u the red ring of death however, the red ring is caused by an internal error of the 360 as a result of dust build up or if you leave ue 360 on for like 10 hrs at a time

  9. Any game can over heat your machine if you play it for a long time.

I don't think the Red Rings happens so much anymore but be careful anyway

  10. maybe fallout2 but i don't think its the games i think its how much you play them.

    good luck :]

  11. Mine happened while I was playing Guitar Hero 3. I don't think that's exactly the most hardcore visual game but I think it relies on a lot of other factors like how old the 360 is, what condition it's in. Mine was pretty old from when it first came out but lasted a little more than two years. Some people get brand new ones and get the Red Ring right away. It's almost like luck-of-the-draw.

  12. My kids xbox did that. We were able to send it back to xbox though, and they fixed it, and sent it back to us. If that happens, (hopefully, it won't.) Just send it back to xbox.

  13. If you are worried about it overheating, get the intercooler. But sometimes the red ring just happens. My brother got the red ring just days after he bought his xbox. My boyfriend's xbox just got the ring about a week ago, and he had bought it whenever it first came out. If it happens, just send it to xbox and they will fix it, but you won't be able to play for a few weeks while they have it.

  14. the ring of death doesn't have anything to do with the game.

I went to sleep...the power blinked...i woke up to the real ring of death.

and if you plat any games alot it will over heat.

Every game has to be read by the xbox so any game could do it

If you think about it its prob harder for them to read the reg xbox games so if you play them dont do it for hours and hours at a time.

  15. NO the game is not the problem. Overheating is caused when your xbox wires fry from being on so long i would suggest going to your options. find the option that makes your xbox turn off after 6 hours of non use. The red ring is a problem that was caused in the designing of the Xbox if you got your Xbox in the last 3 months your safe my brother works for microsoft so i know
