ok here is the deal. I had two computers that both had Limewire and I did use it to download copyrighted material( I know not legal). I am still underage and I was even more of a stupid kid back then. I am worried about getting tracked down ( which I know is possible) and prosecuted for what I did. Now here is the part im really wondering about. I realized what I did was not right and have since then completly gotten rid of Limewire, and the files I downloaded. I mean really got rid of... I not only uninstalled but then used a program called Zdelete to permanently erase my deleted data. Then later due to internal problems I had to reboot the entire computer to factory settings ( not simple system restore) then after that I used another eraser program called east-tec, and I even used the 35 pass Gutmann method of erase that took 5 days to do its job. It has been about 4 months since I got rid of it all and about 6 since I uploaded which I have heard is worse then downloading.

  1. If you have not been on a crime spree, relax.

"They" have no idea of what you did. As a youth you could get your parents in legal trouble, because you are underage.

They do not have enough people, much less computer literate people, to watch everybody.

So you have wised up. Don't do illegal things anymore.  Stop looking over your shoulder. You are okay.

  2. Don't worry about it. They will usually only target people who upload ALOT of songs through limewire. If you only did it for a month or two, you will be fine. Also, you probably would have gotten a letter in the mail by now anyways.

Yes I have always been told that people that upload are the one's targeted.

  3. nothing to worry about there..trust me you would of heard from isp provider within 1 week of someone tracking your isp...how you get caught is when someone turns you in to your isp provider which they don't really do anything the first time around because you normally just get a warning depending on what you downloaded...is it is under $5000 worth of software at once or music then chances are you are going to fly under the radar but 4 months ago and you aren't uploading the files then you have absolutly nothing to stress over bro...TRUST ME...you are good to go. Sounds like you are waiting for the feds to kick your door down or something...no worries....they aren't coming...

there is a statue of limitations when it comes to p****y so that is why isp monitors act quick.

  4. Don't worry.  Unless someone can prove you did this, you have nothing to worry about.
