  1. ok lol what do u need help in

  2. I have been Homeschooled, I can tell you a lot about their differences, but Similarities, Hmmm..

Maybe the fact that there are homeschool organizations, where homeschooled students can get together, study together, attend special events together, even have a graduation ceremony together. there are some homeschool organizations that hold proms for highschoolers.

    Hope thats helpful

  3. their subjects, education, underlying behavior, sometime diversity...

  4. I think the only similarity is in the subject matter that is taught - but not in how the subject matter is taught and in some subjects that content of the curriculum material.

In the elementary years: reading, writing, arithmetic, basic science, basic history plus a wide variety of electives.

In the middle school and high school years: pre-algebra, algebra I and II, other higher math, 3 or 4 years of English and Literature, 3 or 4 years of a foreign language, etc.

I really think these may be the only similarities between public and homeschool.  Even from one homeschool family to another there are considerable differences.

  5. They both have the opportunity to attend the same colleges/universities, they both may take the SAT/ACT, they both can participate in sports, clubs, music, art, etc... Just one at a school level and the other at a community level. They both have opportunities to make friends, however one has their peers forced upon them by being trapped with 30 other people their own age for 7 hours a day while the other is free to socialize with anyone of any age/maturity level in any environment (like durring sports, at the park, in homeschool groups, on field trips, at club gatherings, in the neighborhood, etc) In many cases they both will have the chance to go on field trips, many HSers learn the same material as PSers, though sometimes they finish faster and move on to less common subjects. They both have scholarship opportunities. They can both get a diploma, though some HSers choose not to as their SAT/ACT scores and transcript are usually all the universities want to see. They can both duel enroll. They can both have graduation ceremonies, though for HSers it will be organized by the homeschool group, the umbrella school, or the family, and some choose not to do this at all. They can both attend prom/homecomming/other social events. Some HSers may attend prom at a public school if they are dating someone at that school who invites them. Some homeschool groups have their own proms or homecommings (HS groups often have sports teams that compete with other HS groups, so there would be a homecomming) as well as other social events. Both sometimes have to take standardized tests each year. It depends on the state. There are lots of similarities. It really depends on who you ask though since there are so so so so many different styles and methods of homeschooling.

  6. It varies from homeschool home to homeschool home. Everyone does it differently. Google "types of homeschool" and it will give you sites that describe the different styles of homeschooling.

    Hope this helps!

  7. About the only similarities lie in the basic core subjects that are studied.  Other than that, differences abound.

The only other similarity that I can think of, is that both homeschooled and public schooled kids are just that - kids.  They have the same needs, and they start out with the same basic developmental scale.  The enviroments that they grow up in, however, are often very, very different.

  8. Similar requirements from the state?  both need discipline to study and get good grades.  Hard work.  Outside/extracurricular activities important to be a well-rounded person.
