Does anybody know the name of an anchorman that, during the 1930s and 1940s, might have introduced FDR's "Fireside Chats"? I suppose I could always take some "artistic license"; but if you know who actually did it, I'd be very appreciative. The only name from that time I know is Edward R. Murrow, but he was stationed in Europe for much of that time. Bob Trout and Walter Cronkite and Eric Sevareid are contemporaries, but I don't know for sure if they introduced the President's talks

  1. The first "Fireside Chat" was introduced by Robert Trout.  Don't know if he continued to do all others.
