I'm writing a research paper and need help finding specific solutions to deforestation?

that's basicall all i need. a list of solutions would be nice. some really nice, well outlined articles would be greatly appreciated as well.

  1. lack of education,

    they clear rain forest's for farming as their farms become unproductive , the abandon it and slash and burn more rain -forest . Climate chane has affect the amount of rain in the forests causing fires and species not to regenerate. hwn old growth forests are cut they take hundreds and hundreds of years to grow back . Unsustainable forestry practices!

    -education to locals, better farming practice

    i-ncentives for gov'ts of foreign countries who practice sustainable forestry

    education for western society -stop buying wood products that are made of old growth trees

    -American people (consumers) seek more info about where our wood /paper products come from

    American gov't can have incentives for americans who purchase and support our forestry ops in this country

  5. Of what area in the world ?  This would be hard to do in North America, we have more forrest now, then when Europeans first landed here.  So what ever the solution was, it worked.
