  1. IF he prayed he'd probably pray that the war could be avoided at the last minute.

Strange as it may seem it is servicemen who like war the least because it is they who have to actually fight it.

  2. That he not die, that his buddies and comrades don't die, that he isn't forced to shoot a kid with a possible bomb strapped to him, things like that.

I'm so glad I got out when I did.

  3. Some would pray, some wouldn't.

My guess is that the usual prayer is about not having things go wrong, and being able to make the right choice at the right time.  To have no regrets, and to not die like a wienie, if it comes to that.

  4. courage to face the battle... faith to keep fighting... and compassion to still have a heart in the midst of that h**l.

  5. d**n I was gonna write... God please don't let my D*** blow up....

  6. lol yes!!

I know so many people who do,

and I've seen so many movies where they do too.

They gather around sometimes with the whole family

and pray for the best... many of them do!!

And I know one of my friends who is a Christian,

his father is a pastor and his mom owns this orphanage..

he's very religious and he's going into the war, and he always prays and he also carries around a cross with him..

but not all people do this, some people don't believe

that there is a God and they are prudent and ignorant.. I'm not trying to say that there is a God, I'm just saying.. some just want to go to war to get it over with.

I mean, I'm sure everyone is scared of death and need someone to talk to or look up to so that they can have a little bit of hope.

    Hope I helped,

    cheers!
