I'm writing a story about terrorist and the Muslim religion, how should I end it?

Question

The story itself is about a man who is put in a prison in Pakistan where he learns the teachings of Islam and becomes a Muslim. However as he continues learning about it he eventually ends up involved with Al Qaeda. He follows Bin Laden and his group for a long while until he comes across a young Imam who tells him he is descracing the religion though is struck down by a fellow Al Qaeda member before his words could fully sink in at the time. However Imams words stay with him and he begins to see what he has done while with the group. On the day of a soon to be historically significant terrorist attack he relizes he has been duped by Bin Laden's promise of a paradise by committing such horrible acts.

Now here I have my problem, should he stop the other terrorist by sacrificing himself and detnating his explosives while in the vehicle with them, possibly do it while at the hotel, or be killed for trying to tell the others that Bin Laden has lied to them for his own self gain?
