I read somewhere that when a werewolf is shot with a silver bullet (or stabbed) it slowly burns them from the inside out, so if you removed the bullets how would they recover and how long would it take?

  1. Make the bullet low grade silver, like smelted US coins.  The smelter could be under the assumption he/she was dealing with good old silver, but the content and purity gradually decreased before disappearing altogether.  Now we're losing money making copper coins.  Pretty soon they'll be plastic tokens with pictures of d**k Cheney on one side and Three Mile Island on the other.

  2. Would you be a dentist to a great white shark with tooth ache?

A werewolf is an human being turned into a wolf but in a killing frenzy! So with terrible fatal wounds driving him more frantic I believe it would be impossible to treat. One consolation the dead were wolf would return into human form so as well as loosing a wolf you would have a bullet ridden cadaver to explain to the police!

  3. They wouldn't recover because they would be dead.

  4. dont they like go back to being a human and die?

  5. It's your story, you can change the rules when it comes to werewolves and silver bullets if you want to. Perhaps silver doesn't actually effect them like people think, maybe it only stuns them?

  6. Its your story and you are dealing with werewolves, so you can bend the rules a little bit, however, if after the wolf is shot and he returns to human form, depending on where he is shot would change his recovery. He would have to go to a hospital to get treated. If you are having the character live, have the man shoot the wolf in one of his legs so that the human arm or leg is wounded and no vital organs. From there you could have him go to a hospital.

If you want you could have silver not always be lethal. You could make it the werewolf equivalent to a baby with honey.A baby under twelve months can't have honey because of a certain substance in it that could kill them.perhaps you could make it n your book that a silver bullet is only lethal to newly turned wolf like within the first six months and such?

  7. What about if you take the sharp points on a rose and squash them until juice comes out.

Then pour the juice on the wound and its healed.

  8. I would say you'd ahve to treat it like a case of gangrene - remove the silver, and then cut away the dead and poisoned flesh.

You want a gruesome twist? Have them use medical maggots to eat away the poisoned flesh. (That's actually being done in some hospitals for real.)
