  1. Start with telling her you're sorry that she's sick and that you hope she feels better, or something to that effect. Then maybe you could tell her what's going on in your life. Grandparents love to hear from their grandchildren, so just say what's on your heart. It should be from you, though. I hope that helped. I think it's great that you're writing to her.

I'm sorry to hear your grandmother is sick.  You should tell her that you are thinking about her, and that you hope she gets well (and if she's terminally ill, you should leave that out and just say you hope she isn't feeling too badly).  And then you should tell her about what you have been up to, school, friends, etc.  She would love to hear about your life.
