I's a skaven copyrighted?

As far as I know, a Skaven is a mythical creature and when I try'd to make this on a shirt I got complaints of it being copy righted. If anyone knows anything it would be greatfull thanks

You can't copyright a creature but if the drawing looks exactly like someone else's drawing, that is protected by copyright.

It's not in the dictionary, isn't it copyrighted by Games Workshop?
