I'v booked a table at the arkle for me and my 'beau monde' its v flash and i'm worried about the wine?

i'm a simple soul so could someone help me with an averagely priced wine that will go with a vegetarean meal thanks a million

    My suggestion would be to ask the waiter or sommelier if the restaurant has an inexpensive house wine.  It really depends on what you are eating.  My opinion is strong hearty favors can bear a dry red wine.

    Light favors need a light rose or white wine.

    Don't drink wine with vinegar based foods, they kind of clash to me.

    When all else fails, drink what you like and don't worry about what someone else says you should drink.

    Well in that case, well done on choosing a great venue. One of our favourites, I have to say, is the following (copied and pasted from the wine list)

    Trinity Hill White Label, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, Pinot Gris £24

    Not the cheapest - but you wouldn't want that - but a good choice that won't overpower the food but will complement it
