As long as your new TV has a digital tuner, called ATSC, it will receive over-the-air signals from an antenna.

You won't need a digital converter box. Those are for people who want to keep using their analog (NTSC) TV.

i have an lcd hd tv w analog and digital outlets, so i hooked up rabbit ears to both, 1 set ea. sometimes, i use the digital ears or the analog ears, depending on which is coming in better
