I've accidentally deleted iTunes icon but iTunes is still installed, now iTunes isn't working.?

Hi, i downloaded iTunes about 6months ago and it was working fine, until I was clearing up my computer a bit and accidentally deleted the iTunes icon both from the desktop and start menu :S

I went onto add and remove programs in control panel and clicked on iTunes but it wouldn't work so i clicked remove program but it says: the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click ok or enter an alternate path to a folder containing installation package 'iTunes.msi' in the box below

I've clicked browse searched my whole computer for them but can't find it so i can't use iTunes and all my songs are gone. Is there anyway i can un install iTunes and re-install it, or fix it?

I've also tried updating itunes but still says the same thing :(

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

hey,

If you go into control panel and click add or remove programs,

then you click on the itunes then remove it from your computer,

then try and re install it

p.s it has happened to my computer before but it is possible to do it this way

Download the windows installer cleanup tool from here:

If the download doesnt install automatically locate and run msicuu2.exe to install the Windows Installer CleanUp tool..

Once installed go to > Start > programs and launch the program

locate itunes and click the Remove button.

If you still cannot reinstall after removing itunes, you may need to also remove quicktime and reinstall that aswell.

Have you tried the restore option on your computer? Is it in your trash bin? I deleted something by mistake once and had to use the restore computer option to get it back. Not sure if this is something you would want to try though.
