I've been asked if the files limit of 5mgb can be extended temporarily.?

I run prostate cancer support e-group and there has been a big conferece in the USA - it would be good to share the presentations across the world so that people from other countries and not able to attend can see them. Please copy to [e-mail] if possible

I think we'd all love it! maybe they can add it to a file sharing site and send the link to the group, or send it individually to those who'd like to see it. most times mail servers allow much more than what Yahoo does

You have wonderful intentions but no, it is not possible to extend the file size limits.  Have you considered blogging?  Your blog size would not be severely limited.
